From Bipolar Chaos to 25 Years of Stability - A Keynote on Ownership and Recovery

Michael Schneider delivers grounded, experience-based keynotes for conferences, clinical teams, and organizations supporting individuals living with bipolar disorder.

These talks help professionals reduce burnout and increase follow-through by reinforcing ownership in recovery.

Audiences leave with clearer expectations, stronger boundaries, and a shared language for responsibility that holds up under pressure.

After these talks, teams spend less time managing crisis-driven conversations and more time supporting consistent, owned behavior.

Frequently requested by clinical teams, conferences, and professional organizations.

"Michael is an engaging and compelling speaker who shares his journey with bipolar disorder with authenticity and heart.  His story of recovery offers hope and reassurance that healing is possible."  - Emma Peat, Director of Education Programming, NAMI SF

What I Do

I deliver keynotes, professional education, and workshops for audiences who treat, support, or care for individuals living with bipolar disorder.

My work centers on one core idea: recovery requires ownership. Insight, medication, and support matter - but without personal ownership of decisions, routines, and boundaries, progress breaks down. My talks help audiences understand how to support ownership without rescuing, enabling, or burning out.

All presentations are educational, non-clinical, and designed to integrate cleanly with existing treatment models.

My Story

Turning Adversity Into Purpose

My perspective is shaped by lived experience with bipolar disorder, including relapse, hospitalization, loss, and rebuilding.

I’ve seen firsthand how insight can coexist with instability - and how recovery only begins when ownership replaces explanation. That experience allows me to speak credibly about where responsibility breaks down, why accountability is often resisted, and how ownership becomes the turning point toward lasting stability.

My story isn’t the point.

It’s the proof that ownership changes outcomes.

What I Offer

Services That Transform

I offer professional speaking engagements, workshops, and individual coaching for audiences and individuals impacted by bipolar disorder.

Keynote Speaking

Professional keynote talks and conference sessions focused on ownership in recovery. Topics include responsibility without shame, supporting ownership without rescue, and why insight alone fails under pressure. Talks are structured, grounded, and outcome-focused.

Workshops

Interactive workshops that help teams and families build shared language around ownership, boundaries, and accountability. These sessions support clearer expectations, stronger communication, and reduced burnout in high-emotion environments.

1-on-1 Coaching

Limited individual coaching for bipolar individuals and loved ones, positioned strictly as adjunct support - not therapy. Coaching focuses on helping individuals take ownership of daily decisions, routines, and emotional regulation between clinical sessions.

Bipolar disorder is recognized as one of the most debilitating illnesses in the world. They’re not alone.

It’s time to turn down the dial on their episodes.

The Veil Paperback

I am the author of The Veil, a candid account of living with bipolar disorder.

The book is often referenced in my talks as a real-world illustration of what happens before ownership - and what becomes possible after it. Rather than a story of triumph, The Veil reinforces the central theme of my work: recovery begins when ownership replaces avoidance, blame, or explanation.
